PORTLAND HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETICS

Portland High School Athletics is steeped in tradition, spanning over a century, as the oldest high school in Sumner County. Located North of Nashville, on the Tennessee/Kentucky border, the Athletic Department is home to 18 Varsity Sports. Portland’s rich athletic history boasts 9 State Player of the Year winners and 14 State Champions and Runner-ups in multiple sports. Our student athletes are encourage to excel both, on and off the field, with many competing in student academic programs.
